Camp Gear Outfitter Consumer Policies

Purchases, Shipping, Back Orders, Cancellations, Returns & Warranties

Purchases

Purchase Funds:

Purchases must be paid for at time of purchase by Visa, MasterCard, Discover or check in the event of a mail in order. Depending on check type, funds may need to clear prior to completing the order. There are no C.O.D. shipments.

Product Location Sources:

All products typically ship from the same warehouse location with the exception of the Paha Que' line of tents and accessories. As a specialty product line it is warehoused at a separate location.

Credit Card Billing:

Credit cards purchases from Camp Gear Outfitter will show on customer bank statements as a purchase from E Trade Vendor.

Shipping

Shipping Costs:

The best way to calculate shipping costs is to place the items you choose in your shopping cart and then begin the checkout process. (You don't need to enter any billing or credit card information. Your order is not finalized until you have entered and submitted your credit card number.) Once you have entered the shipping information your invoice will show the exact charges to your destination. You can cancel the checkout process at any time and return to shopping. Please feel free to adjust your order any number of times to get the best products and shipping price.  

Shipment Location:

All shipping and related charges are based on and to the 48 contiguous United States for residential delivery. Alaska and Hawaii need to be calculated manually.

Shipping Company:

To facilitate your order as quickly as possible, shipments may be sent via UPS, FedEx, DHL Ground or other similar company at the shipping department's discretion.

Order Placement:

Once your order is placed with our warehouse, merchandise is typically shipped to your destination within 3 to 5 business days.

Paha Que' Orders:

Paha Que' products are shipped from a specialty warehouse and as such would arrive seperately from any other items ordered. 

 
Back Orders

All in-stock items are shipped at time of order; out-of-stock items will be placed on backorder and you will be notified via e-mail. All backorder items will be shipped at the time the product becomes available. If backorder period exceeds 30 days, we will notify you prior to shipment release. Backorders are shipped at prices in effect when the item was ordered. 

 
Cancellations

All orders (including backorders) may be cancelled with no additional fee prior to shipping. (Orders are considered shipped when shipping labels and tracking numbers have been generated). Cancellations must be made by email or fax; orders will NOT be cancelled over the phone for purposes of documentation. If an order has been shipped it may be returned based on the Returns guideline policy.

 
Returns*

Return Authorization:

All returns must be approved prior to return shipment by e-mailing or calling our office within 30 days of shipment receipt. Please include your pertinent purchase information available in your e-mail or before you call. Once we establish your Return Authorization number with the warehouse, we will contact you with the return merchandise shipping procedures.

Return Policies:

  • Product defective upon shipment: Credit for cost of item(s) or replacement
  • Refused delivery: Credit for cost of item(s) minus 15% or $10 restocking fee**
  • Accepted delivery: Credit for cost of item(s) minus 15%-100% restocking fee**
  • Consumer damaged, missing parts: Non-returnable, Non-refundable

All defective, missing, or mistakenly shipped products must be reported to us with 48 hours of package delivery for replacement.

 ** Warehouse reserves the right to evaluate product return conditions and assess restocking fees at its own discretion.

Damage In Transit:

Orders damaged in transit will necessarily need to be handled through the delivery carrier including claims and reimbursements. Our office will aid you in this procedure.

* Special return note about Paha Que' products from our supplier :  No merchandise may be returned under any circumstances unless said merchandise is defective. All return merchandise claims filed after 48 hours of original delivery date are strictly defined as a manufacturer warranty issue.

 
 Warranties

All warranties for products purchased through Camp Gear Outfitters are the responsibility of the respective manufacturers. All issues, claims and questions concerning product warranties should be submitted directly to the manufacturers.

In the event that the product is a health related device or nutritional supplement, all information contained on this web site, including information relating to medical and health conditions, products and treatments, is for informational purposes only. The information on this web site, or information provided by the manufacturers of the products, or information on product packaging or labels is not meant to be a substitute for the advice of a physician or other medical professional and should not be used for prescribing a medication or diagnosing a health problem.
